London - Cancun - Valladolid

Our first stop was Valladolid (2-3 hour bus journey from Cancun), a quiet town that serves as a good base to make excursions to various ruins and sites in the Yucatan peninsula. We spent four nights here, going on excursions in the morning and relaxing in the hammocks in our hostel in the afternoons.

The hostel garden is home to a very cute cat family, including this kitten who is extremely fond of playing with his mums tail

  11. Jess this looks gorgeous. I'm chilean so I thought it would be nice if I posted you some tour guides of places in my country, the blog is also chilean and the girl that writes in it speaks english, so maybe if you have any question about the guides you can talk to her.

  15. Depending on which road you take to get to Chichen Itza, you will find many towns where the Mayan culture and Yucatecan appetizers are the predominant ones. For example if you go through the 80 (so you know the town) you can order some delicious panuchos or a vegetable stock and they are very rich. Another point to consider is that in this case, if you want to enjoy the road, it is not convenient for you to hire a private transportation service and better rent a car. haaa and there are good deals on the tours in cancun to go to chiche and some include the walk to valladolid
